There are too many Social Networking sites. Hell, there are too many sites that are designed to aggregate all of your social networking sites. It's kind of ridiculous. I don't know about the Google Apps, I haven't seen them.

We keep hearing about the promise of data portability and what that should mean. I think until that becomes a reality, then yes, it is too much. But if we get actual data portability, then it becomes a choice that makes sense. It will let you pick and choose what you like, and stop a person from having to follow their friends to the next big thing.
