Happy pre-Independence Day everyone! These donut-burgers look like just the ticket for the BBQ I'm going to tomorrow. [ via !soapsuds ]

1000 calories each? No wonder Type II diabetes is rising ... must be a Louisiana specialty, home of obesity in the US. What happened to the 100 miles diet? Enjoy US Day!

OMG, that looks like a coronary, but I'd probably try it, just to see what it all tastes like.

Ooooh, I heard about these. Burgers are one of my favorite things, I love Krispy Kreme donuts, so hey, why not combine the two.

I think I'll go get Krispy Kremes soon and try it out myself with some of my legendary burgers on the grill. Yum!

If I remember correctly though, those I saw had the outside sticky sides of the donuts turned the other way, toward the inside. Makes it less messy to eat.

I think if I ate that I could probably hear myself get fatter with each bite. Nastysauce!

Here's the original one that got this started, which is called the "Luther Burger", served at a place called Mulligan's in Decatur, Georgia.

"On March 14, 2008, the online comic Real Life referred to the Luther Burger in addition to the hamdog, as "the greatest epicurean achievement in the history of man"."

Daniel - Any hopes for an upgraded friend search? I'd love to be able to search for keywords within the "from" string so when I search a city name I don't get replies from everyone using that in their username/name.

Apparently there are a lot of people with "Houston" in their name that aren't even from Texas. Who knew?
