Can anyone think of any topics that are unacceptable to discuss on pownce?

I am thinking it is probably best to avoid things like politics and religion.

    i think anything goes with a healthy dose of respect for others and openness. i couldn't imagine talking with my normal circle of friends without discussing these issues.

    I can think of a lot of things that would be unacceptable for ANY open forum.

    But people have already gone into religion and politics already.

    It is more of a situation of what you we LIKE to talk about in an open area than what we shouldn't.

    I think politics and religin are ok to discuss
    I wouldn't mind discussing anything

    I think anything that allows people to really lose their cool. For example, it may be acceptable to discuss the policies of Israel in relation to Palestine. However a discussion that seeks to prove that Jews control the media, banking, and the weather... well that is not such a good idea. So as Aaron says, anything goes as long as people have respect for each other.

    I haven't seem and real discussion on religion/politics here. I've seen lots of posts about them but no one replies much them... or so it seems to me.

    @Aaron - I really enjoying following/talking about politics and i agree with you that i could not imagine not being able to speak about it with my regular circle of friends - here, though, I think it is a different story maybe.

    I guess my feeling is that with these types of social networking sites, it is best to keep things light and fun for the most part.

    those are great topics. its ok to get serious now and then. religious and political discourse is important and shouldn't be avoided.

    I tread carefully around religion and politics because people can get really heated in their discussions rather quickly.

    I think avoiding what ends up happening in one's bed is probably unacceptable. I mean, I don't really need to know all the different ways to slide tab XY into slot XX.
