Okay, my evening took a dive. The staffer on-duty with my boss at work called asking with a tinge of panic in his voice for me to return to work. Apparently he had to call 911 on my boss as she had a blackout and had no clue where she was. There are questions about alcohol usage as well as valium usage that do not sit well with the boss being diabetic either. It did not help things that a bottle of questionable provenance believed to have contained malt liquor was found on the premises.

The staffer and I had to spend a wee bit of time on the phone with the boss of our boss working out the contingency plan for Friday. Considering the circumstances in play, I suppose my boss is not likely to get out of the hospital for a while as she will either be held for observation or be declared incompetent and be put into the psych ward for analysis. I am grateful no physical harm came to her. Her ability to continue in her job is probably pretty severely compromised by tonight's events, though.

What am I doing for July 4th? I have to go to work. That will not be fun. Hopefully I get to see some fireworks. Sunset Station is supposed to have a display kicking off at 9 PM Pacific.

Wow, I sure have been busy with work matters for today being a day off. While the continuing emergency at work may finally be coming to an end, it is uncertain what may come. I am hopeful for a small amount of tranquility before the next storm of whatever. Having to operate like this is kinda not helping me health-wise I suppose. Tonight's events are just catching up to me and hitting me hard emotionally as it is.

All in all, yes, I am human.
