I feel the need to specialize my blog in a specific sphere. I'd like that to be Django. Does anyone know of specific areas of django that could use some work? I'm really considering gearing it towards new users.

    HOw about something along therailsway.com but for Django. Basically best practices. Digging through open source projects and offering recommendations for improvement.

    Not a bad idea. I was actually thinking of modeling it on nubyonrails, as it was one of my favorite resources when I started rails. Your idea has some traction as well, though.

    I'd say just lurk in the #django IRC room and every week take one of the best questions and explore it fully. Like the IRC ad nauseum section of This Week in Django, but more in depth.

    I think this would tie in very well to the nubyonrails-style postings. Now to think up a nifty name...

    I base my blog on simple things. Sometimes things may be easy, but not everyone knows how to do it. I started with Django and Python at the beginning of the summer. So I know what it's like coming into it not knowing anything.
