"As far as laws go: I also have no problem with people who choose not to carry, it's their choice and right not to carry and I support them in that. I just wish those people would stop lobbying for laws that tell me I can't because they think it's the right choice for everyone. There are already laws against murder, and every other crime a person can commit while carrying a sidearm. Why should the solitary act of a peaceable adult carrying a sidearm for personal protection be as horrible as commiting an actual crime with that sidearm? Proactive crime prevention? Is that what it is? Because if it is, it's not working.
Carrying a sidearm is prelude to armed robbery the same as driving a car is prelude to vehicular homicide."
