A lady was just hitting her child at home and it was horrific to see people just doing such dastardly things.. punishment to children only creates more trouble..

Why dont' people just understand that.. and thats why children who feel loneliness are actually feeling troubled.. and thats why they shoot others like the one at Virginia Tech.. that was horrific..!!!!!!

Just visited this site www.goodparenting.co.in and learn't its important to not make them feel lonely, weak, dumb and disrespected.. I was a little pissed off with children actually.. but feel children should not be punished at any costs.. whatsoever..

    My mother beat my ass, I turned out ok. Kids that get hit at home and grow up and kill people just use that as an excuse. I don't feel troubled or lonely.

    well.. possibly you might not be beaten so harshly.. that kid was being beaten badly.. uggghh..

    I highly doubt that it's parents beating their kids that turns them into psycho killers. If that was the case, a lot of grandparents would have a psycho side as during the 30's and 40's people used to beat their kids a lot.

    Also, if children are not punished, how will they learn that making a mess (for example) is wrong? Unless you mean punished as in beaten, then I agree with you to an extent. I'm against beating kids as in actually punching or hitting them but a light smack (like you would give to a baby/toddler) is fine. Although, that should only be used as a last resort, any child can and will listen to their parent if they want to. If they won't listen to talking or even shouting, then some would say that smacking them is the only way. How else are you going to get a kid to listen or do what you say if they already refuse to listen to talking and shouting?
