Poll: How many of you are closely following the US presidential race? By "closely following" I mean, you read or learn something about it at least once a week.

And if you're not in the US, why are you interested in this race?

Raises hand. Every day reinforces my decision that I will NOT be voting for either of the two major party candidates

I'm sorta half-assedly following it, meaning that I sorta half-assedly pay attention to the news on TV and the newspapers.

It's like the Olympics, it involves all the world, directly, or indirectly. + Obama writes and speaks inspirational pieces.

As an Aussie its hard not to see it as a lot of fan fare mixed in with a twist of good ole BS - everything about the election seems to have the knobs turned up to 11...

Is it too late to get new candidates?

Closer than previous races. But, I also was so impressed with a candidate that I even voted in the primaries for the first time in my life. Sure, I don't agree with everything, I don't fool myself in thinking it's even remotely possible to have a 'perfect candidate'. But, at the same time, I'm pretty excited about this one.

It is the lesser of two evils is the way I look at it.

I disslike McCain more for a few reasons...
    1. His comment about Iran where he sang the Beach Boys song Barbara Ann and Bomb... Bomb... Bomb... Iran.

    2. He has no idea how many homes he owns.

    3. He thinks $5 milion is when somone is rich.

    4. He tried to fire back at Obama about being rich and said Obama was on a private beach in Hawaii. There are no private beaches in Hawaii.

He just seems to forget things and is more about war.

Here is a CNNN video that talks about some of this:
