    Floating (Prins Thomas Miks) - Jape

    Stephen Malkmus-style vocals finally kick in around 5:16. Jape is the solo project of Richie Egan, bass player with Irish instrumental rock group the Redneck Manifesto.

    Public This familiar bassline was first lifted for the track 'White Lines (Don't Don't Do It),' by Melle Mel & the Furious Five (though falsely credited to Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel), with the Sugar Hill house band playing the groove live. More recently, the bassline was used on LL Cool J's 'Phenomenon' -- the vocal hook "Slip In And Out Of The Phenomenon" morphing into 'Somethin' Like A Phenomenon.'
