Public who uses Adium? my friend's buddy list is not showing his contacts' avatars. we've compared program settings is completely the same as mine but mine shows the avatars and his isn't. any idea why that is?

Public Pownce is not made for Twitter-like posts. The design says as much. The space taken up by a post's box thingy takes up enough space so that it's inefficient to just go and send off one-liners.

Public It's the new Internet radio. They basically scour the web for available mp3s, then stream then to you. The service is still in Beta and is pretty raw but the concept is amazing.
