to love or to hate the django?
So far, two of my django powered services (pownce and twitter) are usually down or slow =(

hmm yea twitter is on rails, why did i write django. anyways, i hated any model-view-controller environment except CodeIgniter although I'm truly a python personality.

+ your right again! im a 37signals fan so its a copycatted version, sorry.

No experience with Django, but Python is a must love, so everything else made in Python I say... =)

I don't think the issues being experienced are directly related to the frameworks. Certainly not related to using an MVC based framework. These sites are struggling with scalability. It gets tricky once you have enough traffic to require dozens of servers.

Every new feature has ripple effects. Both these sites are growing big, fast, with only limited staff. It must be a blast to be working at either.

You can check out another great Django app over at http://www.kountr.com. No scalability issues yet.
