Today's song that came to me in the shower. "I Will", a nice simple love song by The Beatles from their self-titled album also known as "The White Album". So this one has been in my head today.

On a side note: Suck it, Jim Sturgess. Heh heh Okay, I thought his singing in the movie "Across the Universe" is _very_ annoying with that fake lilty breathy accent totally manufactured from some sort of marketing perception that it will get American ladies hot. Well, listen to Paul singing here. That's a part of what got the ladies hot about The Beatles! And one of the reasons the British music invasion worked; when singing, the accent went away (to American ears). So great British rock was totally embraced by American fans and radio.

And Sturgess' accent wasn't even Liverpudlian. Annoying. But he sure looked like Paul McCartney, so he was hired. (wink)

Okay, I've been listening to the soundtrack to Across the Universe this week. The movie was just barely "okay". The "Deluxe" version of the soundtrack is mostly excellent. There are some great Beatle song covers there. But the Sturgess stuff and the version of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" sucks, in my Beatle otaku opinion. (^_-)

To my friend Dallas, who turned me onto the album: I'll type up a real review later. I just got out of the shower. (^o^)
